Job SummaryThe eAcute Virtual Med-Surg Nurse is a key member of the healthcare team responsible for managing the care of adult or geriatric patients with general medical conditions or general surgical procedures. The virtual nurse will assist with tasks such as admission and discharge processes, care plan development and maintenance, patient education, medication and discharge teaching, care coordination, mentoring of new nurses, and implementation of evidence-based care.Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the primary bedside nurse to ensure seamless patient care
• Develop and maintain comprehensive care plans to meet individual patient needs
• Provide education and support to patients and their families on medication management, discharge instructions, and other relevant healthcare topics
• Support the team in maintaining high-quality patient care and safety standardsRequirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum of two years previous nursing experience in med-surg
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of healthcare software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsBenefits
